Report on Expert Lecture: “Moral Values through the Bharatiya Hindi Cinema”
The Personality Development Cell (PDC) of Madhuben & Bhanubhai Patel Institute of Technology (MBIT), a constituent college under CVM University, organized an enlightening expert lecture on the thought-provoking theme “Moral Values through the Bharatiya Hindi Cinema” on 15th September 2023. The session was scheduled from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and took place in the MBIT campus, drawing a large number of enthusiastic students and faculty members.
Distinguished Speaker:
The guest speaker for the session was Dr. R. K. Mandaliya, currently serving as O.S.D. at CVM University and formerly Professor & Head of the Department of English at Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Dr. Mandaliya is a renowned academician known for his profound insights into literature, culture, and communication. His vast experience and eloquent delivery made the session highly engaging and impactful.
Theme and Content of the Lecture:
Dr. Mandaliya centred his talk around the role of Hindi cinema as a cultural and moral mirror of Indian society. He elaborated on how films, beyond their entertainment value, serve as powerful tools for transmitting deep-rooted ethical principles, cultural traditions, and societal values.
