Department of Electronics & Communication
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering offers a four-year undergraduate program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). The program is designed to provide a strong foundation in electronics, communication systems, and emerging technologies. Electronics and Communication Engineering focus on the study of electronic devices, electromagnetic fields, communication systems, signal processing, and modern wireless technologies. The department prepares students for opportunities in industries such as telecommunications, semiconductors, defence systems, consumer electronics, and automation.
Curriculum
The curriculum is structured to provide a balanced combination of fundamental theory, practical skills, and emerging technologies includes Analog & Digital Electronics, Signals and Systems, Electromagnetic Theory, Analog and Digital Communication, RF & Microwave Engineering, Antenna and Wave Propagation, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), VLSI Design, Embedded Systems & IoT and Wireless and Mobile Communication. The curriculum is regularly updated to align with industry requirements and advancements such as Semiconductor Technologies, 5G, and next-generation communication systems.
Professional Development Activities for Students
The department focuses on overall development through GATE preparation programs, technical certification courses, Workshops integrating AI/ML in emerging EC application, expert lectures and seminars, Participation in technical competitions and hackathons and soft skill and communication development sessions.
Students are encouraged to undertake research-oriented projects in areas such as metamaterials, wireless communication, and signal processing.

- Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
